The purpose of this workshop is to understand the scope of the personal, sectoral and geographical dimensions of the
financing of African companies. This will include discussing:
• Adaptation of financing techniques and means to start-ups, SMEs and VSEs;
• The development of sectoral financing of companies: Mines, petroleum, industry, agriculture, crafts,
fishing, pharmacy, transport (air, rail, sea, land)…;
• The financing of African companies exploiting natural resources;
• Financing industrialization and industrial enterprises in Africa;
• Financing natural resource processing companies
• The financing of African businesses and the gender approach;
• The policies, mechanisms and means of financing companies on the financial markets;
• Participatory finance: Islamic finance;
• The impact of foreign exchange regulations on the financing of African businesses;
• The contributions of the ZLECAF in the financing of companies;
• The adoption of crypto-assets in the financing of African companies;
• Financing companies in difficulty;
• The development of venture capital in Africa;
• Fintechs and the financing of African companies;
• The financing of African businesses in post-Covid 19 economic recovery policies.
